South West Wexford Sunday 7th Feb

#1 Post by alby »

Headed down to Wexford on Sunday with dbrock as we'd heard there was a few fish moving.

From the get go we started to pick off plenty of codling, with decent dabs & whiting also showing. Lug the best bait, easily outfishing crab, razor & squid. Decent run of tide on the ebb and this is when we caught the better fish. Plenty of other anglers came to fish beside us throughout the day but they weren't really tooled up to fish the tide run (using ball leads & floppy rods where 7 oz grips were barely holding).

A few fish brought home for the pan, plus we had multiple flasks for warm tea which definitley makes the day more enjoyable. Great day all in all. Staffo & Eric popped down to say hello at one stage, they looked really pleased with themselves for some reason??
