Set off for our bass mark at 7.30 am after the inevitable messing about trying to find gear in the dark. We actually planed to set off at 7......

. As usual it was a race to see who could get a line into the water first. It was me followed by a few seconds later my mate had launched his out as well. Slow to start the race was the 3rd member of the team. We had just sat on our butt's after the drive up when Marty's rod started doing what could only be described as a dance. After a nice fight there was a juicy 3.5 lb bass at our toes. Me bein the novice and never catchin one jumped to lift it.... Once bitten (or stabbed by spines) twice shy, A mistake I wont make again.

. It was martys first cast of the day and first ever bass.... To top it all off it was his birthday and he was driving- so it was well deserved! After a few slack hours with a few good bits but no fish Andy's rod started to dance. He pulled in a bass of about 2lb. Needless to say he was on his own to lift it this time...

. All in all a great session for us. I still ahvent broke my duck yet

. I had same rigs bait and casted the same distance as them boys but no results. No biggy though just happy to see some more bass caught. The picture below does not do the fish any justice.
