Co.Donegal pier 02.02.10

#1 Post by last cast lad »

People:me and mick

Duration:7.00-11.00pm

Tide:high at 8.30

Weather:mild and calm

Bait:(Micks)Lug and squid

Rigs:flapper

Results:countless shore rockling, 2 flounder, 2 Dab

Report: At christmas time I bought a Penn rod from zeke and finally tonight I caught fish with it :P , having previously had it out 5 times only for the other rod to produce
I hadnt got a chance to dig any bait so mick kindly mentioned he had enough to share , now I'm wondering does that offer stand for the rest of the year :?: Arrived at the pier and straight away started catching :D , shore rockling :x , some of them quite fat, must be feeding on something(unfortunately there didnt seem to be anything feeding on them :( ) Also landed 2 dab either side of 20cm and mick had 2 flounder of similar size. my last cast produced a starFISH, sure it has to count as a species, its name even identifies it as a species
