Threw the spinning rod in the car after work and headed straight for St. Johns. Didn't fish baits but used a variety of lures and jellyworms. Fished into darkness without luck. Had one pollock on for a brief period but he went into the kelp and that was the end of that. No sign of any mackerel and it would seem like they have headed north again.
Lovely sunset made up for the blankety blank.

Do you mean St john Point co donegal or in co down?
