Managed to get out for a few hrs on Saturday. Nice afternoon to be out but not so good for the fishing. Tried a spot which usually produces during the summer. Plenty of sun and sea was dead calm. Hooks were coming back stripped....crabs or tiddlers I suppose? No fish, but great to get out for a few hrs!

Hard luck on blanking, pity you didnt stay another hour or two into darkness, i;d say that would have made a difference

At least you went out and give it a go. It's more than I have done lately! I'm too lazy at the minute, I'm waiting on the better weather and lighter nights to come before I venture out and with the weather in this country I might be waiting a while!

I recognise where you were fishing and it can can be very slow there, the beaches further down the coast like brittas and ennerielley would be better especialy at night, or even Wicklow pier if you want comfortable fishing.

Yeah, on my way back to the beach met another lad and he wasn't having much luck either. I did notice a fishing trawler fishing quite close of the headland. Dunno what they were fishing for, could have been crab/lobster pots, but it seemed fairly close to shore. No excuses though, have to try and get a night session in when I can get the time!

I passed along the road and seen you. I wondered how you got down there! You would be better off trying into dark along the beaches there. And the tides are good thisweek with HT about 11ish on Friday. You might have better luck.
