I had a double take when I heard the news last night. Mick along with Joe has established "The Courtown Sea Angling Centre" and "Puffin" as a major fixture for east coast sea anglers.

Mick, you will be sadly missed.

My condolences to your wife, family, and friends.

Ashley.

Deepest sympathy,,,,,,as others have said he was a true gentleman,,,he always made me feel like one of his regular and most valued customers even though i would only visit 4 or 5 times a year. Really shocks and saddens me RIP Mick.

Very sad news. Mick always had time to stop for a friendly chat. A good man who will be sadly missed by many.

Really sorry to hear about Mick's passing. He will be greatly missed by his family, Joe and Dave, his many other friends and those like me who just had the privilege of an occasional chat at the shop, which I always enjoyed.

Courtown feels different today.

Rest in peace, Mick.

Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!
