Results:got a phone call "were going fishing"says he,"sound"says I, and in fifteen minutes we were on the N17. By half seven i was casting my new rig, that i had made three hours earlier, the cast went wrong and i ended up in the rocks that i was trying to miss!one rig gone then as i was rigging up for the second time john got the first fish, and the bloody slagging started thats the third time this year!we were soon catching a mixture of small whiting and resonable size coalies, then i got a double hit of pout, but then john got a shore rockling,a new species for him and he took the lead for the first time this year!first fish AND ahead of me in the species count!not good!then he got a pout, another new species and i knew that the gloves had to come off!!so i dropped a rig over the wall and soon got a bite, then a GOOD bite, hit it, and landed a codling! i was after a rockling!!so i was on the hunt now,out went the rigs searching for a poor cod,and lo and behold ten minutes later i got a double shot, species count level Iwas just begining to feel smug when john got a good bite, and landed the biggest fish of the night, a nice pollock.we then got a few nice pollock up to 2lb,but by half ten the bites slowed down, kevins pet stork had joined us and we fed it a few small whiting, never seen a bird that tame!did not think they flew at night either.by eleven the bites had dried up altogther so we packed it in. eight species so far this year for both of us and sundays meet to come with new species to be targeted, been a good month this!! will post pics later
