Duration:11:30-6:30


Tide:low to high

Weather:sunny and windy

Bait:squid,peeler,lug

Rigs:1 hook flapper

Results:11 codling




Report:started fishing at 11:30 after 10 minutes got a good bite a small codling on peeler tipped with squid
carried on like that for the rest of the day
11 codling in total
best of the day 1 1/2lb
good day fishing
species 2010:20

cod over 5lbs!
a new match rod!!(accomplised k2 red metal!)

best fish 2010: 25lb conger eel

SPECIES 2011:= 2 species of rockling, colaie,codling whiting,pollock,gurnanrd,throback ray,grey gurnard
best fish 11 7 pound thornback ray

nice one, never had any luck from there. 11 codling from anywhere is a good result :D

it was durin the summer i was there, usually an hour or 2 before and after hw. usually had mack, lug and crab. had rag once i think. hardest thing was trying to keep the crabs off the bait :evil:

Were there any size to the codling. Any photos. I'd like to give this mark another go. I fished it a few times in the summer with no great results. Wouldn't mind trying it for the winter species. I reckon it would be more relaxing during the winter with alot less marine activity restricting casts. It's pretty potinless chucking out your best rigs and bait when it lands in a passing yaught.
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark

Species 2015: Ballan wrasse, poor cod, pollack, ling, flounder, turbot, mackerel, whiting, lsd, dab, grey gurnard, pouting, cuckoo wrasse, cod
