salthill 14/1/10

#1 Post by chrisfeeney30 »

People:myself and kaylemf

Duration:1.5 hours

Tide:dropping

Weather:SE wind,

Bait:rag and squid

Rigs:flappers

Results:myself:5 coalies, 2 x 5 bearded rockling
kaylem: 5 coalies, 1x 5 bearded rockling, 1 whiting

Report:Headed down to the beach to use up the leftover rag..decent surf rolling in for the area..put of bit of colour to the water. I goa a nice tap on the rod after 5 minutes and it was a double shot of coalies. Kaylem also got a fish on his 1st cast. later i got a coalie and rockling double while kaylem picked off a few coalies. On our last cast i got a micro rockling and kaylem got a treble shot of a rockling, coalie and a whiting. Nice enjoyable session, rag worked well, first time iv used it properly in the area.
