#1 Post by jimmymellis »

location: corkbeg
time:5:30-10:00pm
peoplefishing : me and kev
rigs:3 hook pats and 2 hook flappers
bait:fresh lug,crab and prawn
result:me 3 flatties,4 codling 2 bass
kev 3 doggies 3 flatties 1 codling and 4 whiting

started fishing at 5:30 fishing started very quickly kevs bait had only just hit the water when he had his first bite of the night which resulted in a doggie he was hoping for a bass but i got that with my second cast plus a small flattie but both was small the bass 35cm and the flattie just 20cm on kevs second cast he caught 2 more doggies and a small whiting i had nothing more for an hour then i had a double hook up 2 more flatties once again all under size then we both had a steady flow of small codling and whiting i had another very small bass on my last cast this time it bearly made the 30cm mark best bait was prawn and crab cocktails
i was hopig for a better night than this as all fish was small still we got out of the house thats the main thing :D :D

Well done Jimmy, don't worry about the fish being small, at least you caught something. As Frank said, small fish better than no fish!
