Go to http://www.myhome.ie and look at the aerial maps to give yourself an indication as to the type of ground your mark is as many of the photos show up reefs very clearly. Note that some of the beach marks are cut off and it is mainly covering the Dublin area.

http://www.magicosoftware.net/surf/lahinch.asp where you can see a picture taken of the surf and it's updated every day around 11.00 am.
