The Black Bridge 11/1/10

People: Me and Craig for a bit

Duration: 11:30 am - 14:00 pm

Tide: HW at 14:31 pm

Weather: Cold, bitter south easterly wind

Bait: Lug, King Rag, Mackerel, frozen Crab + black lug

Rigs: 1/0 pulley pennel, two hook flappers

Results: 1 flounder




Report: Not much to report. Conditions looked good only for the wind. Fishing was very slow with only 1 34cm flounder all day. Will probaly be trying there again tommorrow.
Speices 2010:[i]Codling, whiting, coalie, dab, flounder, pouting, goby, painted ray, golden grey mullet, mackerel, pollack, poor cod, dogfish [/i].

Was that the first blank for 2010. dont suppose you have a photo for proof ,did you really catch. :shock: maybe thats the first offical blank for 2010 what you think guys :?: :lol:

haha funny man...calling me a liar are ya??? :x and actualy i do have a photo its on my phone but i couldnt be bothered putting it up!! maybe ill put it up 2morrow wen im putting up the pictures of all the fish i catch 2morrow!

its ok luke this guys obviously got cabin fever from being locked in over the christmas and new year maybe he should get out and try to catch a fish himself rather than slagging a junior angler well done luke at least you didnt blank this time and unlucky in the comp in cobh yesterday i said its bad during the day i fished it tonight with the mrs and had a few (22) codling :D :D :D

too late now you made your report already theres no point in putting up photos of fish you caught 5 years ago anyway it was going to happen to someone sometime so no need to be :oops: tight lines for the future :mrgreen:

Did anyone try for bass up there in recent times?? Used to be an excellent place for bass one time lots of schoolies but some big fish taken there also

That's a bit unfair - why lie about catching one flounder?
Luke went to the trouble of putting up a post so why give him a slagging over it. I am sure he did indeed catch a flounder.

By the way Luke where is the Black Bridge?

Thought all the changes with the new road network and building over the recent years might have finished it off, so that's good to hear. I had almost forgotten that place even existed :D

a 34 cm flounder aint too bad. better than nothin. i always thought no fish was a blank?? maybe im wrong!!


i had my 1st blank in a while on sunday, wouldnt have minded a 4cm flounder :oops: .
