well ive been fishing this spot for about 10 years and ive never heard or see any one hurt while fishing this mark because you have to be stupid to get hurt while fishing here and ya ive had some very nice cod here over the years its the same as most placies to get the big one you have to put in the time i have seen double figue cod caught here and i have had some my self and yes it can be a dangerous placie to fish if your stupid and not careful but as for the drivers they know that people fish here so the most of them slow down and are careful and yes its not a mark for children but if you in your teens and you have a brain then its ok plus with the weather all cars drive slow so its easter to fish so take it as you like but for those of you that havent fished this mark i would try it you never no you may get the big one

Well done bouy32 in highlighting the dangers of fishing here. On reading that report I could imagine hoards of young anglers heading down to try it and as you say the excitment of reeling up fish in good conditions let alone what were getting now would sooner rather than later result in a fatality. Fair enough if someone wants to fish some unsafe mark and we have all done it they shouldn't advertise it. Rant over.

sounds like it would be worth bringing the boat and rods and a few set of feathers + bait (might be able to raid a few tyres just before the bridge) and a big coolerbox so i could feed the neighbours when i get back

ok by now it seems youghal bridge is the place to fish never knew that everytime i turn my back every good angler sneaks out onto youghal bridge and swing there leads around the place casting the 30 yards to the magic double figure cod hole but realy if i look again i can see that if ya just drop your line over the side and down down down to the bottom i will land smack bang into the other double figure cod hole dont tell anyone cause it secret sorry people but i knew if i got people distracted i would find the location of the double double figure cod holes of youghal ive been on a quest to find these since i first found that piece of the invisible map to the double double figure cod hole all those hours searching and searching for the holes and this is all i had to do maybe if everyone that has a flick through this thread and discovers the holes might keep the secret and dont tell your stupid friends or stupid youths cause they not allowed to fish the bridge to dangerous no stupid people allowed sorry no double figure cod for ye  go and find your own hole and please be safe and careful and mind each other now thats the standard this thread is headed for its ok ill save this thread going to make it my new quest since im questless at the moment

bhoy32 has said notting but the truth about youghal bridge it would probley be number 1 in the top 10 worst places to fish in ireland its ubsurd to think you caught 20 rockling an the two lads which fished close to you that day which i happen to see while passing catch not one rockling between them but less than 15 ft away one rod catchs 20 of them . As for double figure anything off there i d have to see video footage or be an eye witness to it HOW ABOUT SOME PICS OF THESE FINE COD!! P.S GENUINE PICS ONLY NO CUT OUTS FROM MAGAZINES GO ON THE BASS BOYS LOVE THERE FISHING POLITICS !SOME MORE THEN OTHERS!

ok jim first please could ya explain to people the meaning of stupid or even just me please for instance if an angler in the past has even just the once got lost or snapped his rod in car door orrrrr forgot something very important for fishing have heard of people doing this like bait or light or reel or ya see where im going with that endless are they stupid or will they be ok now imagine this a couple from france decide to jump into there big car and head to ireland to catch a little fella ya know the foxy fellas with all the gold and they decide that they going to begin the search at rosslare harbour so they get off the ferry and find out from the other silly hunters that the wee fellas are in kerry now hundreds of em the little feckers so they jump into car and foot to floor the whole way now we all know the french on the ferry like to have a tipple the lunatics so we now have an oiled french wee fella hunter on his way to kerry

there not going to be any full stops in this story at all im anti dots and things have my own theroy for these probably lots of mistakes misspels and such maybe that rules me out for comp on bridge tut tut

so they type kerry into one of the computer map things and it starts to belt out instructions in french there approaching the bridge the driver who has not stopped car yet still a bit under the influence sees that there is a pole twisted and bent near the bridge ya know the one the black and yellow one warning thing but its headless maybe he will recall that day in school when they were told about the bad bends on either end of our bridge phew good old french but he forgot the warning about the lunatics hugging the railing casting and dropping traces into the hole plucking doublers at ease from the not stupid peoples secret spot

enough of that finish it yourself happy ending im sure but the point and there is a point to that lovely tale true story im led to belive read about it on net thing people can not be sure that the next lunatic who was not told about the bridge and the lunatics hugging the fence for dear life probably be a tourist or a fellow angler curious to get a lookat your doubler that takes his eyes off road never spotting the anglers buddy on other side of road he the stupid fella fishing on the wrong side sneaked onto bridge  quickly mounts footpath and pins the fool to the fence kills him stone dead probably was a nice man with a family who knows maybe you your son or maybe it was just a stupid person fishing the world renowned youghal bridge for his shot at these multiple double figure cod that he read about on this site and bought into the idea if ya wise up and fish that bridge that no doubt threw up the biggies years before the likes of me and you could get into them would return home to his family with the prize anyone buy into this :?:
