salthill 9/1/10

#1 Post by chrisfeeney30 »

People:Myself and Eoin tarmey

Duration:3 hours

Tide:rising

Weather:ene wind...freezing fog, freezing wind...absolutly freezing out

Bait:mack,lug,squid,razor, sandeel

Rigs: Long and low pennal, flappers

Results:myself: 11 whiting, 1 coalie
Eoin: 6 whiting

Report:After skating/ sliding to the frozen slipway we arrived. Cast out our rods, i tried out far and close and eoin put a rod in close. Fish came in from the start with myself and eoin got whiting on our first casts. This continued most casts. We were absolutly freezing...then....eoins sister dropped down a large chicken and ham dominos pizza  :D :D :D :D :D :D It was so nice.. :D :D finished litterly in about 2-3 minutes! After this we took a few more casts and i got a few double shots of whiting. Then i got a whiting coalie double on my last cast.
Was hoping for something better out far but nothing was there as usual..the place seems to be littered with small fish but nothing over 30cms! Anyway nice to get out even though our rods had ice on them it was so cold haha

Well done Chris, I don't know what I am impressed with the most, the fishing or the fact that you got Pizza delivered! Nice one
