Re: Angling Show in Belfast/Dublin
It looks to me like the hooked event will be a fly fishing oriented event......

Re: Angling Show in Belfast/Dublin
Been approached by the organisers of both of these shows about taking space but by the time I worked out the cost of stand, travel, accommodation, meals etc it was going to cost the better part of 750 Euro and with attendance likely to be split between the two shows I could not justify it.
Who is likely to attend both shows just to pay to see pretty much the same thing?
Instead of one good show we will have two mediocre ones and I will predict one will not be around next year.

Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

Re: Angling Show in Belfast/Dublin
thats exactly what iv been saying since the first post went up how much gear would you have to sell to make a profit on an outlay of 750 euro

Are these events any good? Are they demonstration only or is there gear for sale? & if there is it as cheap as buying on-line?
the shows are very good paddy, lots of stall's ( dont take your credit card with you )![]()

plenty of gear for sale at them, dont know about demonstrations ( casting and such ) at the belfast show, but far as i know there is at the dublin show. not sure about the prices, but if you hunt around the stall's you will pick up a bargain...
The Angling Ireland Show 2010 at the King's Hall, Belfast will be a bit different this time round as it will be joined by the Holiday World Show. Entrance prices have been reduced, which will hopefully make the show better value for money. Your ticket price allows you into all of the shows on the day.
To the best of my knowledge there will be some casting demonstrations, but they will be outside rather than the indoor casting pool that we usually set up on the ground floor of the main hall. I'm pretty sure that there will be the cookery demonstrations also (I'm awaiting the final word on these from the boss, but last I heard both the casting and cooking demos were a go for the show).
Re: Angling Show in Belfast/Dublin
Just want to clarify something now that I've been informed myself ....
There will be no cooking demonstrations at this year's show - by anyone from Chef Centre Ireland or anyone else.
It was on the cards at one stage or another, but was binned and I wasn't told.
Ah well, plenty more to keep you all entertained though.
Hope whoever visits the show enjoys themselves and manages to get a few bargains whilst they're there!
Best wishes all..
Tom
