SNOWY WICKLOW BRrrrrr 5/1/10

#1 Post by mitch »

people me/millbrook
tide high 12 ish
time 9 pm to 2.45 am
bait lug
rigs 2/3 hook flaps
weather blizzardsssssss
results 11 schoolies, 3 rockling ,1 whiting and lots and lots of small codling

Journey took nearly an hour to do,it normanly takes 20 mins ,arrived at beach and a nice surf always
a good sign  rods set up and straight into fish :P the schoolies were feeding hard and 15 mins
later we had 4 :P :P things looking great for a good session ,codling were slow just the odd one.
fishing was steady till about 11.30 then slowed down  the wind swung around n/westerly
and the surf died off .but the wind came back northerly as the tide started to drop and the fishing
kicked off again with fish neraly every cast, bass and codling were hitting baits right to we packed up

Dispite the blizzards and cold it was a great night ,trip home was [em] interesting very interesting  :P
