Ulster Open Gold Medal Shore 2010

Don't forget the Ulster Open Gold Shore will be held on Sunday 10th January at Benone.

Fishing 12-5pm Check - in at Bob's Bar from 9-30am.

myself and salty were talking about it, but the way the roads are its looking very unlikely from down here

any road used as a bus route will be salted.but saying that some of the roads down around the coast road will not be.so be safe and drive carefully,all the best john.

traveled the seacoast road at 9.30am this morning right down to downhill, road is salted and is drive able, but still need to take care with these conditions.

rep of ireland councils havent hear salt or grit, trying to make it to the north could be tricky :lol:

Results of the 2010 Ulster Open Gold Medal Shore. Report courtesy of Paul Devito.
69 Senior and 7 Juniors braved Arctic conditions to fish the comp on Sunday 10th Jan at Benone Beach. With an icy Easterly Wind blowing fishing was not great. A total of 53 fish were caught by 29 anglers - 24 Clubs were represented.

Overall winner was Jonny Snoddy GADSAC ( Gold Medal )

Zone A 1st. Philip Brown Lough Foyle SAC 2nd. Nicholas McNeill Ulster Bass SAC 3rd. Richard Gormley Waterville SAC

Zone B 1st. Michael Curtin Galway Bay SAC 2nd. Liam Rice Blackrock SAC 3rd Philip Williamson White Wave SAC

Under 16
1st. Nathan Davidson Carrick Beach & Rockers ( Gold Medal )
2nd. Ryan Blair Larne & District SAC ( Silver Medal )

Under 21 Ryan Williamson Ulster Bass SAC ( Gold Medal )

Longest fish - Turbot 37cm Michael Curtin
