Report:I couldn't remember the last time I blanked but it happened . While I was busy blanking mick (using same bait, rigs and water as me) was pulling in fish after fish in past me Now I'm not in any way superstitious but a blank , in that situation on my first trip of a new year somehow just doesn't fill me with confidence
But the upside of it all is that mick gets his species count up to 3 on his first(and unplanned) trip of the year

The 4 flounder were all a similar size to that, one a bit bigger
