Cushendun 1st Jan Waterfoot 3rd and 4th Jan
Duration :- 1st Jan 12pm - 7pm 3rd Jan 5am - 10am 3th Jan 1am - 6 am
Tide :- H - L , 1.5 hrs-H 2.5 incoming ' H - L
Weather :- calm, cold , 12mph n/e nice swell , calm, cold
Bait :- mack, sandeel, crab, rag, mussel
Rigs :- flattie, 3 hook flapper
Results :- Total 1 Bass, 17 Codling, 8 Pollock, 9 Flounder, 16 Coalies, 3 Dab,
1 Lesser spotted dog, 2 poutin, 1 3 bearded rockling,
1 shore rockling 10 whitting
Report :- Hi, my first post, I have been sea fishing for a number of years but hate computers
so this is my first post. Had a few days off work so was able to squeeze in 3 sessons.
Weather like the rest of the country was freezing but roads were ok. Fishing was great
but everything was small apart from 2.10lb bass, 1.12lb coalie 36cm flounder.
Species 2010 :- 1 Bass, 9 Flounder, 3 Dab, 8 Pollock, 16 Coalies, 1 Less spotted dogfish, 17 Codling,
2 Poutin, 1 3 bearded rockling, 1 Shore rockling 10 Whiting

Cheers guys not much time on hands just vey little sleep.
I try to get out at least once a week. Normaly Antrim coast,
Donegal, Wexford, Wicklow area. only started gong down to Wexford and Wicklow
last year brilliant fishing round that area.

yeah well done , what mark did u get the bass ??
if it cant get its jaws round a 1/0 its not worth catching [ mullet excluded ]

Hi Rab got bass off rocks at limerick point. I have fished there for years now and that was the first there.
had a few last year cushendun beach and 1 at waterfoot

. some great fishing there. i got talking to some lads at waterfoot the other night and they were telling me about your bass off the rocks. amazing how quickly word spreads
keep it up and good luck for 2010 mate. you never know you might bump into us at donegal, wexford or wicklow in the summer

up here in county antrim those were big fish
. sadly anything over 2lb is a bit of an oddity
