Report:Arranged late last night to dig lug and fish today, met up and got out in rain
digging some good lug, and headed off to our chosen pier full of optimism. First chuck and mick landed a personal best dab at 32cm 
so looked like all the effort might be worthwhile 
unfortunately that was it for about 2 hours till I had a bite show up through the wind 
thinking something exciting was about to come to land it was somewhat dissapointing to pull out a plucky 30cm coalie But at least it saved a blank another hour passed and I suggested what we were both thinking- the fireside at home would be a very comfortable seat 
although for the record mick was willing to stay 
..............and you know what, it is very comfortable here by the fireside
