Bray Harbour 20-12-09

#1 Post by eyesreilly »

People:me

Duration:5pm-9-30pm

Tide:low 7;30pm

Weather:cold,very cold

Bait:leftover lug,mack,squid

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:6 whiting,3 codling, 1 x 5 beard rockling

Report:15 manky lug and some refrozen mack and squid to use up so opted to go to Bray Harbour for some tasty whiting.Had promised myself to just keep those over 30cms but i decided to lower my target by 1 cm to 29cms as they all seem to stop at 29cms   . First cast produced 2 whiting, 1 at 29cms so he was a keeper. My fingers were freezing and i didnt get a chance to warm them up in my pockets as i kept getting bites. Mostly small whiting and codling with a 5 beard rockling arriving at dead on low tide.I was nice and warm in the imax suit which is a lifesaver these nights.3 shooting stars were a nice bonus and i got another 29cms whiting just before i left at 9-30pm.
