Report:we fished around the bannow area today in hope of flounday. fishing was extremely slow to the extent that you could say it wasn't even fishing. we picked up an odd fish here and there. nothing to get excited about. a move to lacken saw large amounts of weed hanging on our lines with crabs on baits from the off on most casts. we ended up with hardly any fish to show for our efforts... it was a nice day.
mark had two flounder and 2 micro coalies, i had 2 flounder, al had a rockling and john had flounder. a solid 6/7 hours fishing. john had the biggest flounder of the day at 39cm which will feature in friday's sun newspaper. al got some glamour shots on the digital to spice things up, but i think the fact that he spent more time photographing the sunset than fish sums it up.
