wickla/howth

#1 Post by wayne riley »

People:me

Duration:11-3 wickla 5-7 howth

Tide:out and in

Weather:super

Bait:crab lug and mack

Rigs:flappers

Results:codling, 5 & 3 beard rockies, whiting and dabs

Report:
headed to wicklow in search of a few cod, had a few to 25cm but the bigger ones never showed up :(
was busy for the 1st few hrs with fish a cast either codling or rockies but that died of near lw.
so packed up and decided it was time refuel myself, so it was a pit stop in the finest mc donalds around in bray.
decided to hit somewhere close to home to use up the last of the bait.
had fish every cast in howth (whiting & dabs) till the bait ran out.
all in all not a bad day out with about 40 fish and a few whities for the fridge
