portsalon beach 03.12.09

#1 Post by last cast lad »

People:me + mick

Duration:9.00-11.00

Tide:falling

Weather:mild

Bait:lug

Rigs:flapper

Results:coalfish, shore rockling

Report: Arrived at portsalon beach about 9pm, after 2hrs blanking in windy conditions at another mark, much calmer breeze and pleasant surf at potsalon and we hit fish straight away.First two casts I had two coalfish abou 32 and 35cm :D :D so things were looking good, naturally I then lost another similar if not bigger fish on my next cast  but neither of us had anything over 22cm after that although it was fast and furious for about 2 hrs with a little shore rockling about 18cm even showing up, quite unusual for a clean sandy beach.
