south dublin beach between white rock and shankill

#1 Post by eric »

People: me and masterkeane (he's masterfull)

Duration: a good six hours

Tide: up and over the top

Weather: pleasant, no edward iced finger hands, soaked smocks or dry wind raped faces

Bait: lug and razor oh and wraps

Rigs: three hook flappers

Results: coalies to 35cm, codling, flounder to 31cm, whiting and rocky balboas

Report: have say it was pleasure to fish the local tonight, no major expectations, no disasterous weather and a steady stream of fishy friends probably not 5 yards out. john1 and his mate harry were just up from us adding a couple of lovely marked shore rocklings to the species list. not to much to report from the beginning i had a few small codling. then fish came on the feed, a few nice coalies thrown too. masterkeane had a lovely 31cm flounder just on the start off the ebb, coalies came back on the feed, we missed three good bites each in as many casts, their damn hard to hook when they hit you the way they do. a few five beards thrown into the mix to finish off a nice evenings work. happy days. :D
species for 2009 (42)
