easy solution security man,

use silicone tubing or power gum to tie a stop not on the snood, thread a seuin onto the snood, tie the hook on. slide the stop knot down the snood to the bait to stop it flying back up.

Coby its a very handy rig and distance isnt a factor because the bait is directly behind the weight

thats one of those dropper rigs... the ones whereby the snood and bait supposedly goes against the current back towards the lead and fishes below it. if i ever see another one it will be too soon. i am thinking about writing a complaint to sea angler about them. actually i probably just have a cup of tea and a smoke out the back to cool off.

lol. I have only started using them. I have had a good success rate on them. The 2 hook dropper sends me crazy though.

like that wee signature.. lol. its a decent rig for rays and I use it for Huss aswell. Not really designed for snaggy ground more for a long distance rig that turns into a 1 downer. dont have to worry about it tangling either.

Down in Kerry I had 3 pulley rig's twist.. by jafizzle it was doing my nut in.

ah these rigs seem popular in the mags and on forums with lads claiming it fishes the bait hard on the bottom. on the venues they are fishing they are fishing at long range and into tide which means theres a bow in the line. the tide is going to push the bait hooklenght and swivel up to the top of the rig body- an overcomplicated 1 hook clip down. the only way i think it could half work is with little or no tide fishing to a tight line from a height at close range... is it worth it? i think it's wishful thinking. no animals were hurt in the making of this post.

Yeah what Eric is saying is that my solution is fine and being a know all he just wanted to add a bit to what I wrote. But really I know that my idea is better then Eric's.

imp is the only way to go they always release i dont use impact leads or any other fancy stuff impact leads cost too much anyway recession and all next time you come to wickla to catch some of my fish i,ll give ya one to copy

might explain why the 2 hook dropper is giving me some serious problems mark. .. Very good point. maybe only fishing the rig on a ebbing tide might be the only way round it?

i find the imps always release alright especially a microsecond after you set it - then you cast and it flaps all the way to the sea

your doing something wrong if it releases must be the way you have the pully set up,make the snood 3 inches shorter than the rigbody
