People:myself and kaylemf
Duration:3 hours
Tide:dropping
Weather:calm, mild, perfect
Bait:mackeral, squid
Rigs:portsmoth, flappers
Results:myself: 23 whiting, 1 codling
Kaylemf: 1 5 bearded rockling, 27 whiting
Report:Was so nice out couldnt resist getting out for a few hours. Bites started from the first cast, getting whiting every cast. Started off slow for kaylem but picked up for the last hour. Wanted to try get some bigger/ better fish so i decided to put a rod with bigger baits out to distance to get past the small whiting. Got a nice little bite which resulted in a whiting codling double, was happy on getting the codling, dont get too many in the area. Slightly bigger fish were coming in out far, whiting were bigger but still relativly small. The flappers in close were being attacked once they hit the water by small whiting, then kaylem pulled in a whiting, 5 bearded rockling double in. He then started to get trebles of whiting while i was getting doubles. Beautiful night for fishing, was a nice little session 52 fish in all, very enjoyable.. roll on tomorrow! Think kaylem has some pictures will post them later..
