SKERRIES???

#1 Post by plumster »

People:me

Duration:8-midnight

Tide:high on arrival

Weather:messed up

Bait:rag lug mack

Rigs:2 hook

Results:11 codling 2 rockling 1 flounder

Report:Finally a break in the weather allowed me to get back to my new mark. first time here i had a codling to 1.5lb and a few coalies so i was very eager to get back :D , weather was great leaving home , dead calm and freezing cold but i was well wrapped up, as usual though as soon as you get their everything changes, lashing rain followed by a gale but i had good shelter behind a high wall. nothing happened for the first hour so i moved to the beech were i was blown out of it but managed a flounder to around 10 inches and one very small codling but with that high wall only 500mt away i couldnt resist going back over for the shelter. as it happened it was a good move all round. set up the second rod and before long bites started coming steadily, in fact i was flat out. as i was baiting one rod the other would be hopping and id be missing bites but most seemed to just hook them selfs. as the evening got later the fish got a little bigger best maybe 10 inches all in all was a good nites fishing and ill be back again. reckon this mark could turn up the odd good fish after a easterly storm or maybe i should have stayed later but the bait bucket was empty. great fun with the carp rods , think im finished with poles (beechcasters that is). no idea how to add fotos! Just been shown how to do the photos cheers son
