Both piers can fish well but sport will be a good bit slower this time of year with whiting, small codling and flatties the main targets.Summer fishing is usualy better with mackeral, pollock and dogs as well as wrasse and congers.Spent my child hood on the piers and had some good pollock off the back of the east pier. When fishing the back of the piers watch out for the swell the HSS ferry kicks up when it comes into port.
