people me and john

time 10 am to 8pm

rigs everything in our arsenal

bait squid mack, sandeel, flounder, dab, whiting

weather sun shining, wind a blowing ,raining sideways

myself and john decided to do some recon on a couple of spots around killala
we hit Bellderrig pier the sun was shining and the waves were coming over the pier wall it was mad rough there couldn't grip the bottom used/losed alot of rigs no bites well too rough so gave up after 3 hours
headed to ballycastle pier then for high tide had about 3 cast and lost each rig i put on full of sea weed and rocks
then headed to ballycastle beach trying for flounder after blanking at two locations
ballycatle beach was wwild couldn't hold the bottom with 6oz gripper didn't look good on us catching a fish and then 3 hours in i brought in what i thought was a bail of seaweed but turned out to be a stunning wee doggie and 2 pin whiting i was never so excited about catching whiting woohoo saved the blank and up a pint on john ,
john reeled in and had 2 whiting on so this kept our hope sup for another 2 hours then had enough of not catching and decided to head home to watch the toy show and drink a bucket of hot whiskey

speices 2011 whiting ,flounder, cod , coalie,,shore rockling , LsD,pollock, mack ,dab turbot sea trout ,bull huss ,3 rockling , wrasse

 Yeer tough lads to be fishin round here at all in these wild times, so top marks for hauling in a few. It's too harsh for me even to venture out to the pub...

Nice one taz. Glad it payed off for yous to brave the elements. It is not easy to stand in the freezing sold and driving rain to catch nothing. So thank goodness for the whiting and doggies.
