North Wexford Mark 23rd November

#1 Post by trout hunter jnr »

People:me and the da

Duration:7 til around half 10

Tide:Rising I think ..

Weather:Southerly wind

Bait:Rag

Rigs:Various

Results:1 cod 1 dogfish 17 sand dabs 2 whitining.. i think

Report:Teachers on strike the day after so left the homework til the followin day and headed off to a new mark in hope of whitning but struck a small cod first cast and thought that was great, a night of cod hauling but next cast got a dogfish, 2 strange signs already :?
Then reeled in both at the same the time a sand dab on each but still unhappily we couldnt see any of the bites but we were hauling fish but none worth keepin only 5cms off though  kept fishing in hope of big bites but didnt get any of our hopes justified. Last cast being reeled in 2 fish on my rods line 2 whitnings. Great nights fishing even if I didn't get to study for next weeks xmas exams  Getting better at technicality as you can see some of our catch attached below

Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!
