Need Some info on Dun Laoghaire pier

Hi again all, not been on and posting much as COD6 has taken my time,

Anyways down to buisness i have posted before about coming over to ireland for christmas you know the rest and its been confirmed that we should be going to dun laoghaire pier can you fish there and is it any good will be taking my beach rod and reel i see posts for bray and graystones but no dun laoghaire pier, any particular reason?

you should have heard how i was saying dun laoghaire until i was corrected lol

dun laoghaire pier fishes quite well for pollock whiting codling wrasse doggies and the odd flounder thrown in if your coming over why not try and tie up with some of the lads that fish that area they will guide you for baits and rigs ect .tight lines

been honest this time of the year unless you want whiting avoid the pier, the pollock will have cleared of and very little cod get caught of it, you will also get small dabs to and few dogs,

greystones, would be a better bet of the south beach

thats a good idea but would not know where to start im a beach boy really never fished a pier at all but i hear they fish better so would a 2 hook flapper be okay or are there rigs for the piers im a noob at pier fishing lol you mentioned greystones is that better for cod then i am sure we can where ever in dun laoghaire bray and greystones cos there quite close

As you're in Dun Laoghaire just jump on the train and go south - Killiney beach is within 15 minutes and Greystones is only about 45 minutes.
