Co. Antrim Bass fishing Round 2

#1 Post by crazyfish1983 »

People- Me and 2 friends again

Baits- Fresh Rag, Mack and Crab

Rigs- Pully and Flapper

Time- 8.00 pm to 1.00 pm- (yes a 15 hour fishathon)

Results- countless flounder, dab and 1 nice bass for Andy

Report- Following last week's success we set sail for the tireless drive to our mark. Filled with the excitment and high hopes the last week had enstalled in us. We arrived shortly before 8 o'clock. It was a race to get into the water first. We had a rake of flatties dab and flounder. Happy enough not to be blanking we were content. At around 4 a.m. mr. bass struck again this time he weighed in around 2.5lbs. Again it was my same mate who caught it. Had this been trout fishing we would swaer he was using loaf or corn. Again after the celebratory smoke it was back into the water again. Greed had set in we all wanted one and bigger too :D :D . No more bass showed up. But still one between the three of us is still cracking for us. Delighted again.

Well done for sticking it out so long - you all deserved a bass for that - but well done to Andy for getting one.

 That's heroic fishing all right - I salute you from the depths of my armchair by the fire... :D Incidentally, what are these celebratory smokes that keep you going through the cold dark night? Havana cigars?
