People:me and about 40 others

Date :sun 22nd nov 09

Venue:culdaff beach

Duration:1pm to 6pm

Tide:high then down

Weather:rough as f***

Bait:rag, lug,mackerel, sandeel

Rigs:various 3 hook flappers, 3 hook loop and 2 hook clipped up, all size 2 or 4

Results:2 undersize turbot 16cm 19cm, a nice sea trout and two flounders 22 and 25cm


Report: not much to report cast out, rig washed in, got 3 non counters before i put on a 7oz grip and blasted it out, got a nice flounder after 3 hours, then the weather got worse, even worse than before got the second flounder about an hour before the end

Really wished i had of been able to go to meet up, but got a bad chest infection at moment. :evil:

Was an atrocious day. Was ok at the start when the wind was behind us but it switched to the west made the fishing very uncomfortable. Had 6 or 7 undersized turbot and flounder and a lovely flounder of 35 which was beaten by 1cm for the longest fish pool. Also dropped a good flounder of about 28/29 :twisted: went to lift it and a wave came in a washed it away. Nice turnout considering the weather was so bad.

fair play to yous guys for braving the elements, i was intending to take a run down myself.
but on the back road to muff a bloody big branch blew off and landed across my windscreen :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: had to head back home minus one wiper :twisted: :twisted:
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!

nice one MC and fair play to all those who made it and stuck it out. it was a horrendous forecast alright :evil: :evil: :evil: but at least you got a few and the sea trout was a bit of a bonus :wink: . i hope the car was'nt badly damaged don :shock:
