Report:Last minute session to use up some leftover lug from last Saturday. They werent in the best shape but I just hate dumping bait ,especially as i had gotten it from some passing anglers in Greystones. I didnt know what to expect when i arrived,,,,not living near the sea its state always a surprise for me but thankfully it was calm enough this time and i was able to set up at the end of the pier. It was quiet enough with most of the fish coming near the end ,but I couldnt stay any longer as i'd run out of bait.Mostly single whiting ,most decent size, around 28cms.Near the end , i got a nice surprise with a double of a doggie and a haddock, another new species for the year and my first ever. "What big eyes you've got", says I as i lifted him out .That made the night for me and after another whiting on the last cast (isnt it always nice to get a fish on the last cast?? )i rang the chauffeur to pick me up. Just to add that the Imax suit i was wearing is as warm as toast and really makes the difference on these cold nights. The missus was freezing just getting out to change seats to let me drive home

A raymondo, now haddock.....whats next with your current form at Bray, its gotta be worth you throwing out a shark trace next time your there, you never know what lurks beneath the surface
You'll surely be over 35 species by the end of the year at this rate, a fine achievement
