Galway City 13/11/09

People:myself and kaylemF

Duration:4hours

Tide:dropping

Weather:northerly wind, rain

Bait:mackeral and sandeel

Rigs:2 and 3 hook flappers

Results:myself- 2 flounder,1 whiting, 8 coalfish
kaylemf- 6 flounder,1 coalie, 1 shore rockling

Report:Got the tides completely wrong so ended up fishing the tide going out with no lug!Got off to a brilliant start, kaylem got a nice double shot of big flounder, (35cms and 41cms!), his first double shot of flatties so he was delighted with that! i got a coalie on my 1st cast. i was just getting a coalie a cast while kaylem was picking out flounder every now and again. Then i finally got a nice little flounder! kaylem got what i think was a shore rockling but i might be wrong, not 100% sure how to tell rockling apart! then i got a small whiting. It was getting really cold and the rain was bucketing it down so we only gave it another hour, i got another coalie and kaylem got another flounder.Last cast time arrived and i got another flounder. Overall a very enjoyable session, Kaylem learned a lot about flattie fishing so it was a successful evening. I have pictures on my phone, il try post them!

Well done lads ,
Double flounder on those baits what size hooks , I love it ,Who needs rules when it comes to fishing. I,m off fishing this Sunday watch this Space.
Regards of the phone pics ,I hear ya its a head melt until you experiment, have you got the origional phone lead you got to connect to your pc/laptop if you have Bingo ,This usually requires a cd-rom requirement which you can get with the phone otherwise you can download the attachment from the website of the desired product.
Well done again( you need lug for the flatties obviously not)
