sunday bass hunt

#1 Post by doggie3131 »

myself and john hit a beach that was supposed to be throwing up a few bass recently,we were supposed to dig lug beforehand, but my babysitting duties went on longer than expected  so no lug  we went anyway with razor, sandeel, and mack, got there, and there was a nice surf going, baits out and the waiting started, but the weights were all wrong,4oz grippers were way too light and were moving rapidly from right to left,we could not get them to get a grip,so wrong bait, wrong weights,= no bass, never mind,it was a good recce! and we will know better next time!!

Best of luck next week with your bass hunt Noel, but unless your happy catching schoolies id look further south than wicklow, id say south wexford, waterford or cork. Also futher north one of rustyhooks bass haunts could produce some better fish.
