Salthill 7/11/09

#1 Post by chrisfeeney30 »

People:myself and my brother

Duration:2.5 hours

Tide:incoming

Weather: light wind, showers

Bait: mackeral

Rigs: 2 hook clip downs, 2 hook flappers

Results:myself: 4 coalfish, 5 whiting, 1 sea scorpion, 1 doggie
brother: 4 coalfish, 1 whiting

Report:Had cravings to go fishing again so i said id go down for a few casts! took out my triplex that i hadnt used in about a tear or two put it out with a 2 hook flapper, put a second rod at distance with a two hook clip down, my brother used a flapper in close. Bites started almost straight away, both of us getting double shots of coalfish in out first cast. then the rod at distance went and it was a sea scorpion and a whiting. couple of more fish for both of us then i got a nice bite on the rod at distance, turned out to be a nice plump doggie! Nice calm sea with a decent surf for a change some decent waves crashing in! nice little session, now i just want to go out again haha pics to follow! :) :)
