just an update

we hope to have the agm in a boozer in dalkey before the comp, otherwise it will be in my mansion's front room with tea and biscies supplied or better still sod's giant van.

we will peg the beach from directly underneath the dart station. best to park in the car park where the old killiney court hotel used to be, now home to fancy appartments and a recylcing centre. this is where the check in is.

this will hopefully keep us away from the evil dog walkers and people who want to know if the mackerel are in yet.

ok lads just an update looks like we'l have 14 at this one :D eric,tony,sod,alby,croppy,masterkeane,keanser,shammoo,samo,kstaff,shaneh,boycie89,fishaholic,wayne reilly, and al may make a guest appearance. any prospective members for next year are invinted to come down and meet the lads and of course fish along side us.

just looking at the long range forcast, its predicting a good southerly backing to a south west for saturday. this should kick up a good surf, and should improve the fishing ten fold. thank god for that. i will however, not be held accountable if the fishing is shite

finally dont forget the agm is on before the comp, there is a number of motions that must be voted upon and their is the business of electing a commitee for the coming year. the commitee will also be taking suggestions for next years venues. s its important you come!

Lads, whilst I was really hoping to make this last comp of the year, my motor is off the road for a while, so I'm at the mercy of some kind soul helping me out with a lift

If anyone's travelling from north Dublin and wouldnt mind swinging by Blanchardstown to pick me up it would be appreciated, I can offer the finest in breakfast butties as payment

If not, best of luck to all who fish it and I hope the weather behaves :!:

Thanks eric,

Yeh, ruined the gearbox on the jeep chasing saltydog round wexford a few weeks ago, was hoping to have it fixed by now, but these things always take longer than expected.

Bad news on the back, but with the wonders of modern medicine I'm sure you'll be fit enough for the comp, sure you'll only need a 50 yard lob to get into fish down there anyway

hey john ,the fishing was poor to fair ,hard work with two choices hold your rod up as high as possible or spend 5 minutes deweeding your line after it washed up on the beach,i,m sure someone will do a report later
