where are all the lugs gone

#1 Post by johnny joy »

hi folks,
is it just me (and buddies) or is it getting increasingly difficult to find good numbers of quality lugworm any bloody where. i've been digging around tarbert, ballybunion and barrow bay lately. others have dug around ballyheigue and come up with the same as me.........anorexic, anaemic little farts of lugs.   :x :x

what's going on, is it linked to water pollution i wonder. i can remember not that long ago digging up anacondas from these same areas. but now just frustration.

when the air and water temp drops so do the lug and i mean drop they burrow down maybe two lenthes of the fork you will
notice much bigger markings and will find digging for them you burst more than you get what i do is dig a trench and then try and dig it again its the only way to get down deep enough
