Report:
i was in touch with mikeq lastnight who was out doing a bit down east.last contact was about midnight with him.he was havn a good evening
so i started getting a bit twitchy.i knew the conditions were all wrong for this morning but what the hell i was going out. iv never caught a mullet so that was the target.after agreeing with herself that after the night feed was done with the baby i was free to go.low water was round the 6 0 clock mark so i was hoping to be on the road for 4.30.4.30 came and i was the only person awake so after givn the baby a few gentle pinches    and a quick bottle i was on the road for 5.00.got down to my spot when i realised i was i trouble.the tide was very slack so i was going 2 find it difficult to get to my spot to dig bait.after trying a few times to get across the channel which i finally did i started digging in the pitch dark with the help of a not so great headlight.got my few rag and id the float out for about 7.about 7.30 two black heads popped up about twenty feet from the shore.seals    so that was me outa there.drove up along the estuary for a look nd decided to try a spot were i taught id get a fish.i got out of the car nd had a look in and straight away i spotted fish and they were not mullet.i grabbed the rod threw on a worm and cast about ten feet fast them.started to reel in slowly and bang first cast and i was into a fish.a nice 54cm bass who gave a great fight on the light tackle.the comotion he caused spooked what ever else was there cause things went dead after that.so back into the car and further up the estuary i went.got out and did a bit of walking just having a nose around lookn for potential spots and i decided to give a spot a bash.a nice flounder i got there and the rod was packed up and more walking was done.there was barely a puff of wind where i was at this stage but out in the harbour it looked very different.i could see the rain on its way so it was time to pack up.im still gona try for that mullet but because of me targeting them today and going to spots where i would nt usually go it turned up a few surprises nd places ill b going back to on my own(rory)very soon .....dont know how to put camera pics up on the reports so i just stuck them in the gallery.

Nice one   Put the sneak on em and cast the bait right on top of their noses  Thats one way to know for sure you are covering fish!! Sorry I couldnt get out this morning but the thoughts of getting up at 5 in the morning after getting to bed at 2 were not appealing to say the least!!
