Tide: LW @ 23:00ish hard to tell East Coast

Weather: Lovely for a change

Bait: Rag, Lug, Maddies, Squid, Razor, Crab, Sandeel, Mackerel

Rigs: Various

Results: Flounder, Bass, Cod, Dab, 5 Bearded Rockling, Whiting, Coalies

Report:

Session 1 12:15-14:45
Arranged to met jd for a quick session, we arrived at the North Wexford mark and were fishing by 12:15 first cast i'd a little Bass the beaches are full of them at the moment. jd was next in with his first coalies of the year. A good show of flounder were present all seemed to be well fed and plump. It was a busy wee session with jd getting 3 flounder and 4/5 coalies. I'd ended up with 9 flounder 1 Bass 1 coalie.

Session 2 20:00-00:00
Travelled a bit further South for this session. I was joined by local match anglers Joe Duggan (who kindly supplied the maddies) Joe Byrne from CSAA and Ben also from CSAA. Nice busy session with plenty of Flounder, small Bass, 5 Bearded Rockling. A few coalies and a couple of nice sized whiting. Picked up some nice tips and pointers  from the two Joes on East coast match techniques much obliged gents 8) Packed up at midnight as i was heading out the next morning with Mick Redmond for a bit of Wreck Fishing. Fair play to Joe Byrne who had earlier showed me a selection his match rigs and left some with me to copy sound man.

Nice quick session- I had a few more coalies than that as I had a few doubles, though some were small. I then headed off to sort out Joe's computer problems, rumour on the beach had it that my presence was required! Had more coalies, bass, flounder, whiting, dogs and a pup hound the next night on the way back up, dogs not at range at all!

Are you going soft Conor, a 2 1/2 hour and a 4 hour session

Thats not what I expect from you :P

Faiplay though, you certainly got good numbers of fish for such short sessions, sounds like you stayed over a few more days than planned....I guess you were making up for time lost due to the horrid weather.

That big bass cant be too far away with all the effort you've put it, stick at it

Sorry I couldnt get down again, but my jeep is still buggered :(
