Report:Thursday 22nd
With a few hours to spare & bad weather on the way for the weekend, Thursdays conditions & tide were spot on for a short Wrasse session. Drove to my wrasse mark where I got a nice specimen just over two weeks ago. I collected a few Limpets & baited up. Dropped it down to about a foot off the bottom, let it move with the current & the bites started on the third bite struck, connected with a nice wee Wrasse 1lb weight.
So baited up again, dropped into the same place, & bang; a big Wrasse took off like a rocket for the kelp. I had a serious battle to stop it from getting to the bottom but managed to bring it to the surface with a three foot lift before it was landed, a lump of a wrasse that weighed 5lb 10oz & 50 cms long
I got another two small Wrasse before the wind started to pick up so done a bit of spinning for an hour & got three small Coalies & Pollack. Went home a very happy camper
