Another fantastic sesh at millisle, loads of FISH- 18/10/09

people- just me
duration- 9.00am til 4.00pm
tide- push, high, drop
weather- calm, cloudy and a bit wet
rigs- flappers, float, pulleys and pennels
baits- lug, white rag, rag, squid and sandeel
results- 16 dogfish, 31pollack, 2 ballan wrasse, 27 corkwing wrasse, 1 goldsinney wrasse, 8 flounders, 9 dabs, 19 codling, loads of whiting and 1 pouting

report- i was planning to get a session at ballywalter today, i phoned john to see if he wanted to go, he was loaded with homework, so he couldnt go, so i decided just to try millisle again, i tried a spot across the park, caught nothing, so i headed to the peir, started catching here very quickly with 2 or three fish a cast i couldnt get 2 rods in the water at once, so i changed to a pennel on one of my rods for dogfish, there were some good quality fish too with:
pollack to 1.5lbs
coalies to 1lb
wrasse to around 1.5lbs
codling to half a pound
dogfish to 2lbs
whiting to about 6oz
flounders to about 25cm
dab to around 30cm
etc
as the tide dropped a bit the fishing at the peir slowed down so i moved to secret fattie mark and got 3 flounders, 4 doggies and a dab.

after 7 hours of fishing i had well over 150 fish and soar arms. all in all a absolute brilliant session, the best session i have had at millisle so far, great vaiety of fish and will get back down sometime very soon

Thats fantastic fishing by any standard fair play to ya, its nice when the fishing is that good, doesn't happen very often, well for me anyway , wll done again.

That's some haul, you must have had a ton of bait with you! At an average of 21.5 fish an hour who needs to pay gym subscriptions to develop those biceps

ahh, have been doing homework most the weekend needed out.... had withdrawl symptoms from a fishing rod. lol

lol, yeah had plenty of lug, sandeel, rag and squid with me, used about 90% of it.
