Report:very last minute session, jason rang me about 5pm,"ya wanna go fishing after work bud!" we were set up by 8pm we were on a beach where there was a chance of bass,so on one rod the baits were big!the other rod was out searching for flats, within ten minutes i got a rattle but it was a doggie, then jason got the same, things got a bit quiet as high tide arrived, but then jason got a horse of a bite,he struck and was getting a great fight, but then it came towards him and shook the hook. we did not see the fish, but i think he lost his first bass! intrest in the rods was high for the next while, then i got a shy bite, and a shore rockling was landed my first of a beach then another shy bite, and the whiting had arrived,we both then got small coalies, then the fishing switched off so we packed up and moved into a small pier where jason got a 1lb pollock and i got a small huss, that was it for the night, but for a short session we were both happy enough

that looks very big for a shore rockling, I would have tagged that Three bearded rockling, normally bright blue eyes and very plump along full length of body
