Tuesday 20th 14:30-17:00
Skies were blue no movement in the tree tops so headed off for an afternoon session. Arrived got out of the car i could hear that the sea wasn't happy looked just about fishable as long as there was no weed. Set up cast out a gripper with the spikes locked by a rubber band to test for weed. No weed held bottom pretty ok consindering the waves were fairly lumpy managed 3 dabs and 2 flounder. Wind was picking up and didn't fancy it after dark on my tod so packed it in. Happy enough to get some fishing in after having to write Monday off.
Wednesday 21st 15:00-17:00
Headed back to fish the same mark as the day before as it was the only place that was barely fishable, similar result with a small cod and coalie showing. Thought i'd killed my camera as i gave it a wash down (its waterproof) it was turning on and you could view pics but when you went to take one it would flash then power off. Turns out the standard AA batteries i'd put in (as i was charging the originals) are 1.5V whereas the AA rechargables that came with it are 1.2V got it sorted in the end with no damaged done
Thursday 22nd 17:30-20:00
At last a bit of break in the weather the sea was still a bit angry but one or two spots were fishable. I'd promised to meet up with a couple of mates that evening (typical as soon as it clears a bit ) so a quick session before hand. Pulled in to one of my local marks and it was full of birds diving in the wash must be sprat around and Bass i was thinking. So i set up were the birds were diving i'd usually fish the other end of the beach. First cast Bass small but hey you couldn't knock it. Missed a couple of bites then had a crack off managed to reel it in not to long after nice to get the rig back Got 5 Bass 2 small Cod and 2 flounder. Packed up around 20:00 which was just as well the tide was starting to turn and the last 3 casts came back with big clumps of weed.
Saturday 24th 13:00-16:30
Headed off to try a new rock mark jsut for something a bit different. Not a whole lot happening plenty of coalies in the early 20's bit of crack on lite gear packed it in and headed for the local Tavern as they only do food at weekends and their Steaks are not to be missed.

pitty about the weather. looks liked I picked the best days to go down there. at least you still managed a few good sessions and a few drinking sessions
ah, nice to get 4 days fishing, and a result!
my cousin is in dingle at the moment for 4 days but the weather is crap!
i hope he gets a few, along with a few beers!!
Good few fish there considering the weather conditions.Seems to be loads of small bass and coalies around at the moment, good sign for the future. Thats if they stay and dont head for Waterford
By the sounds of it there was more drinking then fishing done Conor. But sure it's been a horror of a week with the weather. Still a few good fish over the few days well done.
