Specimen Bass, 18th October 2009

#1 Post by Pat »

Species:Bass

Specimen Weight:10lb

Location:Cork

Bait:Crab

Rigs:Leger

Report:A dawn raid early Sunday morning resulted in this great fish. She came in at 12lb 4oz and measured 80cm in length, 48cm in girth. Unfortunately, I was on my own so I wasn't able to get great shots. Five minutes after I released her two members of the Uk BASS society that I know caught up with me. If they'd been earlier I might have got a better pic. Interestingly, the fish had recently been caught. Padge73 had lost a great fish during the week, so it may have been his. Who knows? Its mine now though :D .

Danny.

Thanks Danny. The fishing will be very difficult for awhile. The winds of the last week and rain have coloured up the water something wicked. Asto be expected there was a huge amount of weed thrown up after the first real blow for a long time. All this has narrowed my chances down for awhile. However, I'll keep plugging away  .
