#1 Post by trout hunter »

People:Me, Malachy Travers and me eldest son

Duration:In Donaghmore 11 'til 5p.m.

Tide:Not sure

Weather:Cloudy with very light patches of rain with a very strong wind heading northerly

Bait:Rag, Lug, Mack in Donaghmore. In ballymoney lug

Rigs: Spreaders

Results:5 bass 1 dab a few plaice and a few poor cod and a few flounder all in donaghmore nothing in ballymoney north though

Report:Good play in donaghmore with a suprisingly fair few bass so their still in there! but it all faded away in Ballymoney with a gale still showing and lots of weed- the bad stuff  only could stick it there for an hour and a bit. Still not sure on tides. Never seemed to be in or out

Sorry, don't think that was what we used. Was actually various rigs.
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!
