People:myself nd timmy o mahony

Duration:10pm-4am

Tide:-2hr lw to lw+4

Weather:dry overcast sw 10-15mph

Bait:fresh peelers rag

Rigs:2 hook flapper, pennel ,nd running ledger

Results:6 bass 2 flounder

Report:my first report so here goes,
myself the brother rory deky bucks nd tim nd pat o mahony have been doing a lot of fishing down west lately mainly on the same beach.over the last 3 weeks we ve all fishd that same beach at different times with mixed results.bass flounder doggies coalies whiting nd a lovely gilthead(caught by rory the pox)is whats being showing up.have been down 2 the beach round 5 times in the last 2-3 weeks with 3 blanks nd 2 good nights.back 2 sunday night nyway myself nd timmy headed off round 8.30 2 have plenty of time driving down nd 2 get the spot we reckond was fishing well. got held up in innishannon 4 a while by valley rovers gaa team who won some final. sittng n the traffic jam timmy realised he d forgotten his head light tuf s*** i was nt going back.got on the road again nd at top speed narrowly missn a fox a few dogs nd even a big frog we arrived at our destination.we could nt believe it,just us nd a courting couple in a car who got a fright when we pulled up.beach 2 ourselves happy days.
first hour was slow but conditions were perfect nd with the good surf we new our silver friends would show.by 12 0 clock i had raced in2 a 3 nil lead with 2 schoolies nd a nice healthy fella near the 7 pound mark.timmy was gettn drunk off so i offered a few rag.next 2 hours went dead nd only 4 the 2 flounder we both got on the same cast at 2 o clock we were headn home.between 2 nd 3 o clock timmy had managed 2 claw it back 2 4 all with 3 nice schoolies on the bounce nd i can honestly say he missed another 2 r 3 lucky 4 me after going 3 up.at 4 o clock we decided 2 pack it n as the weed was gettn 2 much.so after 6 bass nd 2 flounder one of whom unfortunatley did not make it back 2 fight another day everything else returned we had the most enjoyable drive home planning r next outing.
