Report:doug from "the shore thing" has set up an organized trip every second sunday to fish different marks and help novices learn the tricks of the trade,about ten showed up for this one and we were on the beach mark by twelve,doug is in spain at the moment so his helpfull sidekick pete took over the host duties,we decided to concentrate on flounder and help the novices learn the tecniques and to catch one or two,well it worked jimmy a complete novice who purchased his first rod this morning and had never fished before caught five!! guy was chuffed!!asked when he was leaving when we were doing it again i got his number peter who was limited to where he fishes,due to an illness had two turbot, he traveled from ballymoe in roscommon! i had five flounder and a turbot,john had six flounder,and pete had two,all bar one flounder were released.and another angler had a pollock,sorry dont know his name.all in all a good day out looking foward to the next one.

Any of these meets being organised on the east coast - im relatively new to bait fishing, and would love to learn some tricks of the trade!

its a great idea,but it was not mine, its dougs,he just had work commitments and we filled in,im hoping he teaches me things too.

this is one you should try and make martin,starts at 12am and normally done by 6pm loads of time to get home.
